School Day Schedule

School Hours 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.

8 – 8:30 am  Morning Arrival

8:15 – 8:30 am  Morning Car Line Open (Main and North)

8:30 – 11:30 am  Morning Work Cycle (uninterrupted)

11:30 am  Recess – Children’s House

12:00 – 12:30 pm  Lunch

12:30 pm  Afternoon Work Cycle / Recess – Elementary

12:45 pm  Half Day Dismissal

4:45 – 5:00 pm Sunset Pick Up (parents may pick up anytime between 3:30 – 5)

5:00 pm School Closed

School begins promptly at 8:30 am and ends at 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Carline drop off and pick up is recommended for all ages. Morning Carline opens at 8:15 and closes at 8:30 am. Afternoon Carline begins at 3:00 and closes at 3:15 p.m. Students enrolled in our after school program should be picked up by 5:00 pm please.

The three-hour work cycle is a hallmark of the Montessori school day. It is an uninterrupted work period during which children chose to work with materials as guided by the teacher. It offers an appropriate amount of time for the student to work individually, to work with peers, and to work with their teacher(s). Group activities and “circle time” are at the discretion of the teacher. Classroom assemblies, celebrations and student presentations are scheduled during the afternoon work period as often as feasible so as not to disrupt the morning work cycle.
